I'm not sure whether I'm changing my mind or not, but--

I agree with Marshall and Toerless.

In other words, I support moving -13 forwards on the standards track. We have multiple independent interoperable implementations. We have widespread deployment. We have enough experience to think about best current practice. Beau and Greg are even teaching classes on it!

Sure, I would like to see MSDP data encapsulation stripped out of the spec before it becomes a standard. But I'm willing to live with MSDP data encapsulation to see MSDP finished and published as an Internet Standard.

In London (IETF summer 2001) we narrowly missed approving the MSDP draft because it didn't include a maximum length on the encapsulation. Well, -13 says 9192 bytes. Can we come to Yokohama (IETF summer 2002) prepared to agree on that?
