With NPAD we have chosen to pin SDK to version 1.3, because it currently has
the broadest support on the clients. As soon as we get a report that the SW
is too old to run on some platform, will consider moving forward. Since the
developers often have newer systems this requires forcing the version down on
the compile:
javac -source 1.3 DiagClient.java

We have zero java version complaints since doing this. The decision to move
forward will not be made without weighing the pros and cons pretty carefully.
NPAD and NDT should probably be synchronized....
