following is a name lookup for one of these hosts (64.102.93.145):
dhcp-64-102-93-145.cisco.com

the last non-cisco, unicast hop to this host is a SPRINTLINK node.

my (wild) guess is that CISCO and/or Sprint is proxying for some external
(non-cisco) networks and/or acting as multicast service provider.

can some one please confirm what is the going on.
