No, we're talking about the same thing. I knew you were referring to
J2SE 1.3, but I was worried that this would lock us into a particular
version of J2EE. I was also worried that we'd be missing out on a lot
of what has become standard J2SE functionality, but you pointed out
that we could augment that with third-party libraries. I guess that's
okay.

Really though, it would be easier just to require J2SE 1.4. I don't
think that's all that farfetched.
