No! That was a slip of the mind... what I meant to say is WS. I am going to
write the GUI in PHP.

I really don't get what you mean by this. What I envision is this: I would
define a new grouptype in grouper with a new attribute called "label". This
attribute would be a multi-valued string and be filled with 0 or multiple pre-
set values (pre-set by the GUI) or maybe even free to choose values by end-
users.

This is still a subject of discussion.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I know groups can contain groups as members.
I
have thought of this as an alternative, but that would be a work-around for
something that could be solved more 'elegantly'.

I know, and if multi-valued attributes were not around the corner I would
have
investigated this aproach, still all depending on the outcoming of the stem
vs. labeling discussions here.
