Exactly. It is precisely because of iLBC's excellent packet loss
concealment and the lossy nature of WiFi (especially in the presence
of 500 laptops!) that I am interested in iLBC-G.711 media gateways.

In fact, someone ought to hack Linksys firmware to do this so it could
happen right in the AP. Not sure there's enough CPU in those funny
blue boxes for this, but it's a thought.
