The reason the Windows installer is 47M is because it is a complete
installer that includes DirectX and Quicktime components (in the case
the user doesn't already have these components). The Quicktime
component is used in one of Session's collaborative applications
(MediaSpace). Sorry I can't un-bundle at this juncture.

The released versions of Session includes a "web-based" installer option
that is about half the size but will still go out to the web to install
components if the user doesn't already have them.

I've placed Session for Mac here:
http://pals.internet2.edu/trials/Session2004.03.18.16.34.bin

(14MB)

and Session for Windows here:
http://pals.internet2.edu/trials/Session2004.03.18.12.04.exe

(47MB)

47MB is a lot to ask someone to download over WiFi. Why so big?
