VLC 1.0 does not determine whether the transport is udp or rtsp.

For example, my construction cam at 233.0.59.6:1234 uses udp <udp://@233.0.59.6:1234>.

HDVTS and the eclipse video use rtsp <rtsp://@ww.xx.yy.zz>.

I don't know of any currently-operating globally-scoped HD multicast using HDVTS. Are there any out there?

Sami,

You had better luck than I did. I got no reception at all with VLC 1.0. I had just returned from vacation yesterday and just assumed that my multicast reception was hosed. It didn't occur to me to try an earlier version of VLC.

Gates - was that your experience also, or did you get nothing as I did?

I can too confirm that the VLC 1.0 seems to have some issues with HDV streams – I was able to receive them, but more than half of the image was filled with gray/colorful artifacts on both streams.

I’ll continue testing if the replay comes online at some point. Thanks for the stream, what a great idea! :)

Best regards,

Sami
