Thank you for your comments.

I agree to use GLOP address.
I'm sorry, of course I don't want to rake over typo.
I just want know the global consensus about IPv4 multicast addressing.

Again, thank you for your comments.

Hi, Bill and Cort,
I think your mail is very interesting.
I choose the group address depends on the GLOP rules.
(We are AS2500, 233.9.196.0/24 was calculated by GLOP.)
I'm interesting how do you choose the IPv4 group address when you want to send Multicast traffic?
Do you have any policy in the Internet2 community, Global Multicast community's agreement or MSDP filter rules?

I think there was just some confusion with the typo below. IMO GLOP
addresses are the best choice for Internet multicast like this. Mainly
since there should be no conflict.

Thank you Bill! Brother Owens wins the prize... I had mad a typo transcribing the groups from Katsuhiro's original e-mail as 239.9....

So it looks like I'm the fool wasting time :)

Am I the only one that blocks administratively scoped multicast group

Most people do (including NYSERNet). But what does that have to do with this multicast?

Bill.
