I'm not sure what you mean...without using other SSO systems?

Like I said, it depends on a lot of factors. If you're not clustering the
IdP, practically anything in Apache or Tomcat will only force a single
login, either with basic-auth or a Tomcat form login, which uses a Java
session.

If you're clustering, you either have to use basic-auth of some kind, or you

can leverage the authHeaderName="COOKIE" feature in the newer IdP releases.
