Multicast has been fully deployed in the backbone and many regional networks for years.

hello elite multicast list members,

i was at a lecture a few weeks before about "adm6: ip6tables, pf.conf, ipf with python ( in german only )

http://www.slideshare.net/opencu1/adm6-ip6tables-pfconf-ipf-mit-python-in-deutsch

and the lecturer said " without multicast ipv6 is broken" ,

So " ipv4 Multicast " was widespread in the 90s ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mbone )

and internet evangelists from all over the world predicted:

" multicast will be the future of interactive tv "
http://pulverblog.pulver.com/archives/003233.html

Now its 2011 and it seems nothing changed ? refering to marshals paper , the questtion is more :

– Will it ever come back out into the open ?

Sorry , i cant get no multicast even if everyone saying its working and when i look at this list i see a handfull of people
on this planet is getting it anyway, http://www.multicasttech.com/status/

Do i need to ask a guy at cisco when they enable it ?

happy easter

Marc
