True you don't need IGMP for multicast sources, however a multicast source
not also sending IGMP host reports, will flood the local broadcast domain
(ie. flood to all ports on an IGMP snooping switch). At IU's request, the
Camvision2 folks make a small application that can simply send IGMP host
reports out the Ethernet interface, so that switch can prune the group from
no-listener ports. I'm not sure that's getting at your original problem.
