I'm not sure why, it still has to all be hosted by the same site, doesn't
it? The browser can't load the same scripts from the cache when they're
served by different sites, can it?

Regardless, I wanted to note that these Java-based packaging suggestions
are irrelevant when the SP is not in Java. (Rephrasing, no, I'm not adding
Maven to my build.)
