I think I'm on record as not having a major problem with using documents,
partly because I don't see a need to synchronize
identifiers with document versions as they're replaced, but it may be that
not *every* such document is suitable for our purposes.

In general though, I suppose I agree with Walter's point about not having to
look at a registry document to have a basic idea of
what the attribute means.
