Yes.

Yes, at the moment. That, uh, unwieldy value is supposed to mean "look at the
Name and interpret it as a URI".

A lot of the SAML code uses a separator of "!!" to concat the namespace and
name when associating code with attributes (like
plugins), so it works with other namespaces, but a lot of the Shib code kind
of bakes that URI in at the moment to simplify
configuration.

It's just a major hassle to have to deal with a two part name.

Well, I think I understand some of DDDS, but I don't think there's much
client support for it. My initial thinking was that it could
be done via a web based app that had the DDDS support in it. Mostly it's just
a pet project to get my feet wet with it.
