On my reading of Scott and RL"Bob," I would guess Scott at least would  
opt for

urn:mace:dir:eduperson#cn
urn:mace:dir:eduperson#mail
urn:mace:dir:eduperson#eduPersonScopedAffiliation

for example.  That works for me.  I do think we have to own up to the  
registry part of this sooner rather than later, though the registry  
could be an html table on some MACE web page for the near term, at  
least.
