Thanks. Digging deeper, looks like the required package group info for @core, @base, @console-internet (referenced in ks.cfg) is in the "c6-minimal" xml files in the repodata directory, not the "comps" xml files as was the case for PS 3.4 (and as I've usually seen in building install images for RHEL). Guess the problem is elsewhere, sorry...

Hello,

I was able to install from this from the iso via the RMM on some supermicro
kit.

It is a blade on a SYS-2027TR-HTRF+ server

The reference board is x9 series - X9DRT-HF+

Alex

There are no comps.xml or comps.xml.gz file in the repodata directory in
the 3.5 and 3.5.1 isos. They do exist in the 3.4 and 3.4.2 isos. In my
experience building install images, the error message below and the lack
of this file indicate that the repo was not created with the -g flag to
createrepo and the original comps file from the CentOS distro as the
parameter. I thought the comp files were needed to be able to reference
package groups during the install. Are they not needed anymore, or
could the iso need to be rebuilt?

I have downloaded pS-Toolkit-3.5.1-FullInstall-x86_65-2016Mar03.iso
and installed that onto a USB thumb drive. I have a SuperMicro (Model#
512-3, Part# 5018D-MF) server which I am attempting to install
PerfSONAR onto. I am able to boot from the UBS drive and go through
the install process without issue until the end when I get the
following error message:

"Unable to read group information from repositories. This is a problem
with the generation of your install tree"
