I need to investigate this more closely next time I have a setup like this to hand :-) One strange thing I did notice though. I ran the tests with "force_bidirectional 0" for a while (overnight one night). I *think* the generated regular_testing.conf had "send_only 1" for both owamp and bwctl tests, but cannot be sure as I didn't capture those files. However in the graphs which were generated for that period, there was a *solid* blue line for the throughput but a *dotted* brown line for the latency. This suggests that throughput was outbound while owamp was inbound, or vice versa. http://pfsnr-ph.kenet.or.ke/serviceTest/graphWidget.cgi?source=197.136.30.1&dest=197.136.25.1&url="http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%2Fesmond%2Fperfsonar%2Farchive%2F#timeframe=1d&start_ts=1441828800&end_ts=1441882800 (The long straight brown line is just joining from where the bidirectional was turned off to where it was turned on again) Like I say, I need to set this up again to test. It is possible that it generated "send_only" for bwctl and "receive_only" for owamp (or vice versa), but I think that would be a strange thing for the mesh config to do. Regards, Brian. P.S. The nodes got renamed since previous mails, but the IP addresses remain the same. |
