I've been allowing the non-web100 releases to install. As long as you boot off the web100 kernel it works fine, which be achieved by editing the /boot/grub/grub.conf default.

The one caveat is that folks may (or may not) want to exclude auto update of the kernel.

In /etc/yum.conf, I put

exclude=kernel*

This means if a critical kernel patch appears, I need to take manual steps to get it.
The alternative is to omit the above line, and periodically get non-web100 kernel updates
that break ndt until a web100 update is released.

Hi,

Yes, in 3.4 we will be enabling yum-cron as our means of automatic updates.

Thanks,

I just found the yum-cron package for rhel.  Is this what you'll be using?
