Hello all,

Thanks everybody for the comments. So far it seems most reasonably to stay
with Java 5.0 for compatibility reasons. Independent to the Java version
selected, plugins should have build file different from the main one.

Hello Nina,

Ok I understand this decision.

But I want to add this information to the discussion; The plugin we made is a prototype of our application. It will not be usable for the next 2 months, because the MA isn't finished untill then. I don't know when perfsonarUI 0.11 will come, but I don't think a flow S&A MA will be ready for production/ public testing when this release will come out. When there is a separate build file for the plugin, the build process of perfsonarui is not holden up by my code.

I did some research on how to let Netbeans generate java 5 compatible code, and this can be done by adding the library swing-layout-1.0.jar. I can add this library to perfsonarUI, and remove it when java 6 is the way to go.

Modifying the code by hand could take me some time, I prefer to put this time in the development of the service.

So the options are:
* Add swing-layout-1.0
* Let the code as it is
* Remove the plugin from SVN tree
* Modify the code to java 5 compatible.

What do you prefer?
