Just to be different mine still fails (although I'm still on the older
CD which may be why). Interestingly it no longer complains about CPU
nicrocode,
it gets through probe and then says

"Can't find Knoppix filesystem, sorry."

and drops me in to the shell. This sounds like the file system bug you fixed
maybe. An lsmod at the prompt (I can't even find a mount point for my memory
stick to copy this :-) no ls and /mnt doesn't seem to work perhaps because of
no /) so this is manual:

video1394
usb_storage
tmscsim
sym53c8xx
stex
qla2xxx
qla1280
ohci1394
ohci_hcd
nsp32
mpctl
megaraidid
initio
eth1394
dmx3191d
dc395x
ata_generic
aic94xx
ahci
a100u2w
BusLogic

By booting the 5.1 disk the same way, it looks like the difficulty is likely
with the CD as in 5.1 it says
Accessing Knoppix CD at /dev/scd0 in the place where the NDT CD said:

"Can't find Knoppix filesystem, sorry."

The CD is sata so I think its probably using usbstorage.
