In the interim, while OpenSAML 2.0 is being developed, the GridShib
Project has ported the metadata functionality in Shibboleth 1.3 to
Globus Toolkit:

Sorry, we don't support the library beyond code samples and bug fixes,
and as soon as OpenSAML 2.0 is released, we will start using that
instead.
