That index is indeed not generated by default in 1.2.0-rc3, and it makes
sense that it would drive down the one large response time remaining
after you installed the other indices, by removing a table scan from the
set of DB operations needed to delete a stem.

We'll add that index to v1.2.0, unless blair finds some strange negative
side-effect of so doing.

We have also added a corresponding index on
"grouper_groups.parent_stem". These will be available in Grouper
1.2.0rc4.
