Hi, Those wireframes look good, I don’t have much to add but here are a few comments : Our end users don’t have admin rights on most of the groups, but they are allowed to change memberships. For the left column I mostly see ADMIN rights. Seeing folder and groups where the user as at least Update would be better in our case. Maybe that could be configured. I think I read it somewhere, but favorites should be saved when the user comes back with a new session. Showing the member count in the folder view is a very good idea and was one of the requested feature of our users In the “view a group” navigation arrows could be at the top (or both, or always visible and hovering like gmails button at the bottom). If the group has a large number of members, the arrows will be hidden, as will the total number of members. Add people : it would be nice if we could choose multiple persons in the Find People. Something like having a “Add to list” button after selecting the member that would add the member to a list (with “remove” buttons) on the bottom and then you’re able to search for a new one until you select the “Next” button. Maybe that’s covered in the bulk import. Bulk export would be a much welcomed feature. Our users want to be able to export folder (Scope ONE or Scope SUB) and Group members including direct and/or indirect members including which group made him an indirect member How will group types be handled ? De : [mailto:] De la part de Michael Girgis Hi everyone. Below, you'll find a link to a first pass at lo-fidelity wireframes for the Grouper 2.2 UI. A few notes before you take a look: * These wireframes are only intended to convey the general direction I'm taking with the UI design and are clearly not fully spec'd or developed. * Only a few key screens are represented here, related to the most common tasks of viewing/editing folders, groups and users. * The first two pages simply describe the various page components in the three-column layout. These wireframes will be used to validate that users can do the most basic tasks of navigating the site and finding and editing entities. So I'm mainly interested in higher-level feedback regarding the overall approach/layout, and less so the more granular functionality which may not yet be fully developed. Please feel free to email me directly with feedback. If you have a lot of feedback you'd like to share and you don't mind creating an account on yet another website, let me know and I'll create an account for you on cageapp.com, where you'll be able to add notes directly to the screenshots. Thanks in advance for your feedback! Michael Girgis University of Chicago |
