Yes, I did those things. Also, ldappcng runs fine in my local eclipse
instance. I'm using Maven rather than ANT to conform to UCLA's SDLC process.

Did you copy example config files from
ldappcng-2.0.0/conf/examples/ldappcng-OpenLDAP ?

And then you customized ldappc.properties ?
