More packets helps you(*) and hurts others.  But I argue that we already 
know/accept that voip isn't a "fair" application.

I agree completely.



* - ok, in the case where you are the only user and are saturating your
available bw, sending more packets will have no effect.  You are going to
get the same throughput.
