Jon,

Good questions. I like how RFC 2733 is independent of media codec and
is backwardly compatible with non-FEC receivers. I have some
skepticism in general about FEC that adapts to send more packets when
there is congestion! And, of course, FEC is a very naive packet loss
concealment algorithm---if you know your signal is human speech, you
can do a lot better (consider iLBC).

Anyway, it would be great for someone in the community (perhaps TAMU)
to look at these questions.
