The thought was that it might be easier to allocate a hard phone per
room than to allocate a PC. I was hoping for something like the
"THAT-2" and you found it! If the room audio system has RCA outputs
(many I've seen do), then the "THAT-1"
(http://www.jkaudio.com/that-1.htm) would probably do; it's only $150.

To tap directly into an Cisco ATA-186
(http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/as/180/186/) or Grandstream
ATA-286 (http://www.grandstream.com/y-product.htm), we'd need
something like the JK Inline Patch
(http://www.jkaudio.com/inline-patch.htm), which goes for $270.
