Our media folks had a contract to stream certain events live using a 
vendor that utilized the Akamai servers on campus. Basically, the vendor 
would charge us for the number of viewers based on numbers provided by 
Akamai for on and off campus viewing.

This implies that on campus servers can provide live streaming content 
as well as static content.
