Please note, sources are still discovered. They are done so at the network
layer by using PIM-ASM. That is, via the PIM shared-tree.

You could use Embed-RP group addresses today in any ASM capable router
by staticly configuring the RP address for a group range that is the
Embed-RP group range. Just an FYI.

One problem with "dyanmic" Emberd-RP being used in ASM mode, is that
anyone can choose a group address which can select any router in the
PIM domain to be the RP. This might be counter to what the netadmin would
want.

So following this through, then you would have to install filters
everywhere. So you may as well install static "ipv6 pim rp-address"
commands instead.
