Based on our experiences here I highly recommend moving your multicast
routers to 12.1(3) as soon as practical. 12.1(3) solved a number of
problems with one of our border routers, a 7513, having to do with gigabit
Ethernet and ATM. It also seems to support the RSP8 properly.

The good news about 12.1(3) is that it's a Limited Deployment release, on
track to be certified for General Deployment. 12.x(y)T images are Early
Deployment (ED) Releases which offer new feature, platform or interface
support. All the necessary multicast protocols are in 12.1(3).

Sadly 12.1(3) is not available for the 6509-MSFC, however.
