I've had 8540s and 6509/MSFCs crash as well.  No data on the 8540 case
from cisco.  I've not opened the 6509 case yet.  

To sum I've had two crashes:
Friday, 7/21/00, at 3:45 PM CDT
Monday, 7/24/00, at 8:45 AM CDT
