thanks to bill fenner, i got caught on a mis-statement. i went back and
checked my traces; i only see 0x16 type membership reports coming out of
win2k or winNT. my earlier reference to the 0x12 was a misstatement (too
many fine details).

looking a little closer, i a slightly better description of the issue
might be that it appears that the 3300 stops/ignores IGMP host membership
reports for some [noticable] period time for a given group upon receiving
an igmpv2 Leave Group message for that specific group; this time appears
to be related to and may be noted as ending when a General Query occurs.
