Before anybody asks, I'm aware the SP's logging needs some work. I tried to
improve some of it before shipping, but it really takes concerted real world
use to identify the problems, so now I have some things to work on.
In particular, it's hiding a lot of runtime exceptions that occur during
initial site setup (when you're debugging metadata and keys and such) such
that not much gets logged on the shibd side (on INFO I mean), just logged in
native.log as an exception and sent back to the browser in the usual way.
In production, this isn't all that horrible, since generally once you
successfully accept SSO from X, it keeps accepting it most of the time, and
debugging initial site setup on DEBUG isn't that unusual.
But I'll work on it. Ideally I should be able to not only log the errors but
conditionally dump XML only when errors occur rather than force the levels
up to DEBUG to see the XML traces.
