You need to get permissions set for native.log to get generated to learn
more, but most likely it's crashing because you didn't set some variables
needed to get the loader to work right. They're mentioned in the Mac notes
on the Wiki.

The shibd log is for shibd, not Apache. And no, you don't have to rebuild
Apache.
