I don't have access to leave comments so I'll leave it here. :)

As explained here http://bugzilla.internet2.edu/show_bug.cgi?id=514 I
think it would be beneficial if the data connectors could access request
specific information to generate some special attributes if necessary.
The IP address is one example.
