This is not true. I've tried to explain this a few times, but this is old
information that only applies . The issue is that Xerces does not correctly
install itself via the JAXP service properties. If they did it properly,
classpath addition would be enough in JDK 1.5. There are no class conflicts
anymore in JDK 1.5.
