Agreed. Now, here's something interesting: I made some semi-deliberate mistakes in the IdP configuration file today, such that a validating parser should have failed to validate the configuration file, and it let it pass.

If I eyeball my way through the initialisation code, it certainly looks like validation is supposed to be happening on this file. But it isn't, for me.

Can someone else with a 1.3 IdP try adding something well formed but gratuitously awful to their configuration, and see if the parser still buys it? I found, for example, that I could just add an element like this just before the closing </IdPConfig>:

<Wibble>argh!</Wibble>

That just ain't right,
