Is support for EL 8/9 RPMs on the roadmap for 2023?

It is, at long last.  We’re wrapping up the last of the support for EL8 and should have that out in beta in the next couple of weeks.  EL9 should follow in a few months if the last of the port effort doesn’t spring any surprises on us.

As has been mentioned previously, a lot of the tooling work we’ve done over the last year or two will help us get support for new distributions out sooner rather than later.

This covers what we’ll be supporting:  https://www.perfsonar.net/post-2021-08-05-os-support.html.
