Hello Mark.

How are you?

Just wanted to give you more details about this server:

It is a DELL PowerEdge R350

It has 2 SSD HDs on RAID-1

It had a couple of firmware updates pending to be installed, so I updated them.

But still the same.

I did another test trying to install Red Hat 9 on this server and it was able to detect the HDs.

Also I did anther test using perfsonar .iso file on a virtual server and was able get to the install perfsonar toolkit screen.

Right now I don’t know what else to do.

Please check this information and let me know about your comments.

Thank you for all your help.

Hello Mark.

Thank you for your email.

This is a physical server, and I mount virtually the media from my machine, using iDRAC:

Here is how it looks.

Please check this and let me know about your comments.

Thank you for all your help.

Here are some screens that I captured of the installation process:

This looks like the kernel and initial RAM disk were properly loaded but it can’t find what should be the root volume.

What can you tell me about how the ISO is mounted on that system?  Is it a physical machine with physical media or is there some sort of virtual mount happening?
