Hello all,

Trying to update Perfsonar to 4.4.1, I seee that this issue is still
here.

=> The updated oniguruma-6.8.2-1.el7.x86_64 from EPEL would
   replace libonig.so.2 by libonig.so.5 which Perfsonar's jq
does not like... This is what I understand...

If I understand well the story, at some point, Perfsonar's development
team needed a patched "jq" and gave it a version 1.6.10 to prevent it
from being overwritten by an update from EPEL (jq in EPEL is 1.6).

But Perfsonar's jq have a dependency on libonig.so.2 which would be
replaced by libonig.so.5 if we update the package oniguruma with the
latest in EPEL (6.8.2-1.el7), thus the conflict.

I have to add --skip-broken to my yum update command...

I do not know if the patch required by Perfsonar have since been
integrated in EPEL's jq.

Thank you

JM
