Hi Mark,

To install perfsonar-testpoint, I did follow the instructions for the bundle installation for debian, at http://docs.perfsonar.net/install_debian.html.  This was done on the server in question as well as a freshly installed Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS VM on my laptop. Here are some observations that I hope will help -

1. Task RTT works correctly on both.
2. Task throughput doesnt work on both. The error is the same on both.
3. iperf version is 3.9
4. Here's the output from the server for the sources being used. Its the same as the laptop vm -

Thank you for the clarification. Could you then please advise on what could be done in the meantime if I wanted to install perfsonar-testpoint on a new system?

Sure.  Start here:  http://docs.perfsonar.net/install_options.html.  You can skip the decision tree since you know what bundle you want and follow one of the links at the bottom for the OS you’re going to use.

Also, I checked with the researchers and ac-dtn.singaren.net.sg is not part of their work.  I’d get in touch with the administrator of that system and see if they can check out the source of the iperf3 installed there.  As one of the developers, I’d be interested to know if anything we did got it into that state.
