In 4.4, we added code to the iperf3 plugin that takes advantage of its authentication features to prevent tests from being hijacked.  The version of iperf3 we distribute is compiled to support these options.

 

There is some research being done that involves a customized version of iperf3 that does not have proper support for these features.  It’s possible that ac-dtn.singaren.net.sg is involved in that; I’ve asked the researchers about it and will drop you a note if I found out it is.  They’re building one with the proper options in it.
