Hi Jeronimo,

We have similar use cases here as well; I do think this could be useful to a
lot of people. Thanks for your suggestion!

In the short(er) term, we plan to add a indicators of traceroutes change
events to the graphs, which might help you correlate ps test results with
network events, if not quite as directly. That's planned for 4.1.

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,

We have a few long-haul links, and we have at least one network event per day
involving these links. In our vision, our SDN controller could be extended to
upload these network events to perfSonar via REST or later via CSV file.
Then, it would be easier to correlate events.

I will be waiting for this feature! Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Jeronimo,

We have an open issue requesting something similar:
https://github.com/perfsonar/graphs/issues/4

Your request is a little different in that you want to import the data rather
than manually entering it, but this seems like a logical feature to add to
it. This feature has not yet been planned for a specific perfsonar release,
so nothing has happened with it yet. As described, it's pretty involved to
add. It might be possible to do a subset of the functionality in a shorter
timeframe, but it's unlikely to happen in the near future (4.1 at least is
already planned out).
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi All,

I really liked the new perfSonar charts, specially the interactive part of
it. I was wondering how complicated would be to add more info to those
dynamic charts, to try to correlate with network events. For example, if one
of the links flaps (which could add errors to a specific OWAMP test running),
how could I reflect that into our charts? This would allow me to easily
correlate events.

How complicated would that be in case I have all network events in a CSV or
JSON file? I just need to print a dot indicating that something external
happened at that time.

Thanks,
Jeronimo
