Hey Amit,

If you do a “yum downgrade” of owamp, does it start working properly?

Cheers,
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

We have encounter the same issue as Lixin after the upgrade. If I restart bwctld and owampd services, tests become bidirectional for few mins only. It’s the same behaviour on all our perfSONAR nodes. Please refer to the link below. Thanks,

Amit

Hey Lixin,

This update shouldn’t have changed that. Is it still the case?

Cheers,
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

I updated all our perfSONAR hosts yesterday. Since then, all latency
hosts are doing one direction tests only. Is there anything else I
should add in the OWAMP config file?

Thanks,

Lixin.

Hi all,

A new set of OWAMP RPMs is now available. The OWAMP 3.4-8 RPMs are a minor bugfix release that fixes an issue where sites were incorrectly seeing very large one-way delay numbers.

Those who are using the perfSONAR Toolkit, or otherwise have the Internet2 RPM repository enabled, can run 'yum update' to get the latest changes. For those who prefer to install the RPMs manually, the newest version can be downloaded from http://software.internet2.edu/ . After installation, you will need to restart bwctld to use the new features. You can do this by running “/etc/init.d/bwctld restart”.

Please let us know if you have any questions and we look forward to everyone's continued feedback and support!

Thank you,
The perfSONAR-PS Development Team
