Hi,

The ondemand mp from that document is essentially deprecated at this point 
and never was fully realized. If you would like to just run traceroutes 
between different hosts, you can install the latest bwctl 1.5 and use the 
bwtraceroute command to run traceroutes between two remote hosts that must 
also have bwctl 1.5. Anyone running version 3.3 or greater of the toolkit has 
bwctl 1.5 so that should at least apply to a lot of your hosts. For example:

$ bwtraceroute -s lbl-pt1.es.net -c newy-pt1.es.net
