Hi all,

Hi,

I would like to suggest a follow-up conf call on the schema and cNIS for L2 status information from last week.

I'd like to suggest Thursday, 16:00 CEST, 15:00 CET, 10:00 ET, on the DFN MCU. http://wiki.perfsonar.net/jra1-wiki/index.php/191006-L2_Status_Monitoring
Fine with us.

Some additional info inline:

I have listed few points to add to the agenda (based on Joe's feedback).

Are there any other points to be added.

1. Location needs to be abstracted more.
lat & long, & address should be part of a
concept that allows specifying location in multiple
different ways including address (down to the
floor, room, cage, rack, and shelf.
Not needed for E2E Monitoring in this detail.
Also, lat & long need to be typed. Is it 2 int's and
a float, or just a float?
Basically, two strings (for lat and long), following RFC 1876 format.

2. Link types should be from an agreed on list of reasonable names.
IE is NREN-LINK a link to the NASA Research Network (NREN), or
a interdomain link?
The list of possible link types is defined as an enumeration in the E2E Monitoring System Design, see attachment.

3. The time type looks odd, but Martin can decide if it is right.
They are part of the agreed NMWG namespaces.

4. The circuit naming scheme needs work. Currently it is
documented as Organization Acronym - Organization Acronym,
project ID, Serial #. This doesn't scale outside of
Europe.
We have worked out a proposal for a more decentralized naming schema based on the MACE URN namespace, see attachment.

5. perfSONAR service - NS

See you on TV,

Best regards,

Matthias and Mark
