LS: Available in Java (MAciej Glowiak) and perl (Verena Venus).
AA: not existing so far, currently being defined with JRA5. I don't 
think that an implementation will be available before 4-5 months. (in 
java and in perl)

We are encoutering some performance problems with the deployment in 
Java. If you wish, we can schedule a conf call with few developers to 
give you some insight.

The perfSONAR bit is done to request the establishment of the tunnel 
(this is a particular case of perfSONAR where all the communication 
isn't done using perfSONAR, in this case not for the exchange of data).
perfSONAR interface are also used to allow the service to register to 
the LS as well as to authenticate and authorise a user. The most 
important is to follow (and extend) the perfSONAR schema to cope with 
the new type of requests.

By using another language than java or perl, you make your life easier 
when developing, you may also reach better performances, but it comes at 
a cost that you may have to implement the communication to the LS and to 
the AA. (unless you can manage to build bridges between the components).
