Indeed there should be no compatibility issues with the SX20 for SIP/H.323, and the HDX7000 and HDX8000 are also fine choices. Much depends on the inputs and outputs you need. Both of those HDXs do have a VCR recording output and the HDX8000 adds analog phone capabilities. I believe you are correct that the SX20 does not have a recording output.

Best,
Ben

We use its predecessor the c20.  They fit our needs great.  Simple to set up and use.  I believe the sc20 footprint is even Smaller.  No compatibility issues.

Hello all,
Our University is planning to purchase a new HD H.323 end-point.  We are considering Cisco SX20 Quick Set and Polycom HDX7000 (and may be HDX8000).

We have little experience in SX20.  Does anyone using it?
Is there any compatibility problem with other H.323 device?

Also, it seems that there is no output for SX20 nor HDX series for recording.  Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks.
