Larry, I agree your sentence is much closer to what we need to really promote R&E connectivity as part of this event. I took it one step further by adding a link to our new R&E reachability tool which is now operational on the following page https://k20.internet2.edu/get-connected.
See attached. Jennifer, can you roll these edits into your latest version?
Thanks!
James

James is
correct that we don’t want to appear restrictive but at the same time the phrase, “This program is powered by the advanced Research and Education networking community.”, IMHO, doesn’t do anything to promote connectivity. I’d like to see wording along the lines
of: Participation in this project is best achieved through a connection with your local Research & Education (R&E) provider and Internet2. For information on a connection to your local R&E Network please email
. During the last two retreats and Global Summits, marketing of R&E networks consumed hours of our time. And then when opportunities like this come
up we seem to be shy about promoting and marketing ourselves to potential communities. Why? Thanks for all your hard work, Jennifer. Other than my comment, I think the flyer looks fantastic. Best regards, --Larry From: Jennifer Oxenford []
Hi All, We’ve made some great progress on the flyer. Attached below please find the latest and greatest flyer with updated logos for all partners and updated information on the schedule of events and tech requirements. Please take one last good
look at the attached flyer as well as the following pages: Detailed session descriptions at https://goo.gl/N5dDRx Registration form for schools http://goo.gl/forms/q1EeXdH36i Project webpage https://k20.internet2.edu/RemoteLabsCarnival Give a holler if you see anything glaring or have any final changes/comments/thoughts before we start to send the flyer around (hopefully tomorrow!). Thank you! Best, Jennifer |
